Medical Affiliated Research Center is conducting a research study for new delivery method of an overactive bladder medication. Overactive bladder affects more than 33 million Americans with more than 75% of them being women.
OAB is a form of urinary incontinence and symptoms include urinary frequency, urgency, and urinary leakage. Urinary frequency is bothersome urination eight or more times a day. Urinary urgency is a sudden, strong need to urinate immediately, and urge incontinence occurs when leaking or gushing or urine follows urinary urgency. The study is seeking females aged 19 and older, who for at least six months, experience overactive bladder symptoms with sudden urge to urinate. To qualify, volunteers must not have had three or more urinary tract infections for the past year.
